Marco Mercanti | CEO

Marco Mercanti began his career as an international art lawyer. Following his experience in the legal and compliance departments of Sotheby’s London, he went on to establish the Art Law division of Crowe Horwath International. Marco founded Oblyon in 2015. Since then, he has orchestrated over $500 million in art-secured loans on behalf of individuals, investment funds, gallerists, family offices, and estates.

Marco has a degree in Law from the University of Bologna and a Masters in International Business Law from Esade (Barcelona). He is certified to practice law in Italy and in Spain. He also obtained his PhD on the international art market from the University of Rome, Tor Vergata.
